Floyd Gottfredson Library
I serien "utgåvor jag faktiskt ser fram emot" så kommer först av allt the Floyd Gottfredson library. Det är en samling med alla (eller i alla fall de flesta) seriestrippar av "the mouse man".
Den har varit förhandsaviserad ganska länge, nu, men i dag så fick jag se att det finns ett omslag aviserat också! Det brukar betyda att det inte är så lång tid kvar till utgivningen. Jag håller tummarna! Barnes och Noble säger 6:e Augusti och den har till och med fått ett ISBN-nummer...
Gottfredson är en av de riktig stora serieskaparna, men på grund av hans tidiga publicering så är han nästan okänd utanför ankist-kretsar. Inget övergripande verk med Gottfredson har getts ut sedan Horst Schröders portfolio för en herrans massa år sedan. För mig som missade den utgåvan är detta ett tillfälle som heter duga!
I'm sorry to give you bad news, but the Gottfredson Library has been postponed for the moment, most likely until next year. Barnes and Noble and Amazon should update soon to reflect this situation. They may, as Amazon has in the past, simply remove the listing until we can give them the new low-down. We're not sure why Barnes and Noble picked this moment to suddenly illustrate our rough-draft cover. They should have already known that the volume was "on hold."

At least Gemstone will have plenty of other Gottfredson reprints this year, including the 1931 "Mickey Mouse, Boxing Champion" in WDC&S, "Death Valley" in WALT DISNEY TREASURES and most likely another story starting in WDC&S before the end of the year.
